Peter Larking

Peter has studied self cultivation methods for 22 years. In that time he has focused his attention to Tai ji quan, Yin Yang Ba Pan (Ba Gua) and many different systems of Qi gong, both Wei dan (external) and Nei dan (internal) across the medical, martial, spiritual and scholarly styles of practice. Peter studied and obtained an honours Diploma in Tuina, Qi gong and Tai ji quan, a diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Bio medical sciences of anatomy physiology, pathology and pharmacology and a Health sciences degree in Acupuncture.  

Peter spent 15 years teaching Tuina, Acupuncture, bio medicine and Chinese medical theory at the New Zealand School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. During his career at the school he learnt and honed the craft of teaching Chinese medicine and self cultivation arts, and taught across all levels of the four year degree in the following subjects:

  • Chinese Medical Theory.

  • Musculoskeletal Assessment, Diagnosis and Advanced Needling Techniques.

  • Clinical tutorials and supervision

  • Chinese Medical Specialities and Classics Studies

  • Diploma of Tuina

  • Diploma of Qi gong and Tai ji quan

 

Peter is honoured and humbled to have been mentored and taught under the guidance of A.M.Olatunji and several other advanced teachers over his career and has dedicated his life to practicing, understanding and preserving the knowledge that has been handed down to him.
